Once a Scholar, always a Scholar. Building relationships with other students, faculty, staff and the areas beyond the University of Maryland campus are at the heart of the Scholars experience—where students live, learn and serve.

Becoming a College Park Scholar is an instant advantage at the University of Maryland, College Park. Scholars places students into an environment where knowledge is valued and learning makes them leaders.

College Park Scholars students in all 11 programs are expected to complete a practicum—an internship, research project, community service or education abroad—that encapsulates their Scholars academic experience.

College Park Scholars is an interdisciplinary living-learning program for select first-and second-year students. The 11 programs housed in the Cambridge Community give invited students the opportunity to learn and grow together in a close-knit campus environment.

The Global Public Health program of College Park Scholars is sponsoring a screening of the documentary ‘Half the Sky’ on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012
